An AI cost dashboard that shows each person their own spend

Token costs pulled from the AI platform’s admin portal through MCP into a live web app. Everyone sees their own usage; admins can filter by person.

The problem

As AI use spreads across a company, someone has to be able to answer what it costs and who is using it. That data lives in the AI platform’s admin portal, which only admins can open.

How it works

  1. Admin console

Token costs for every user live in the platform’s admin portal.

  2. MCP

I connect the admin portal as an MCP server so the data can be pulled directly.

  3. Web app

A repository deployed on Vercel connects to the APIs and serves the dashboard.

  4. Views

Each person sees their own costs. Admins can filter by person.

Private by default

The dashboard only displays one person’s token costs at a time: the person who’s signed in. It doesn’t display everyone. If you’re an admin, you get a filter to look at any individual.

Why a live app, not a report

Most of the dashboards I build aren’t static reports. They live as dynamic web applications, so the dashboard is ever-living: it doesn’t have to be rebuilt every time someone wants an update.

Status

This is my newest project, and it’s in progress.
